Switzerland has a strong understanding of its startup ecosystem. However, comprehensive data on the country's scale-ups has been largely missing – until now.
The Swiss Scale-Up Report 2026 is the first nationwide study dedicated exclusively to Swiss scale-ups. Designed as a recurring annual survey, it aims to create a long-term data foundation on how Swiss growth companies evolve, what challenges they face and what factors enable successful scaling.
Around 500 Swiss scale-ups have been identified and invited to participate. The study examines key indicators such as team growth, revenue development, funding, internationalisation and the barriers companies encounter on their growth journey.
The initiative is supported by Swisscom Ventures, SIX, Startupticker, the Swiss Startup Association and Swisspreneur. The results will be presented on 16 September 2026 at the Swiss Growth Stage Summit.

While founders, investors and ecosystem experts work closely with scale-ups every day, reliable and comprehensive data helps create a shared understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing Switzerland's growth companies.
